Description
What are HEPA Filters?
A HEPA filter, or High-Efficiency Particulate Air filter, is a type of air filter designed to trap a high percentage of very small particles, including microscopic particles and airborne contaminants. The HEPA filter standard is to remove at least 99.97% of particles from the air that are a size of 0.3 microns (µm).
When used in air ducts, HEPA filters capture particles such as dust, pollen, mould spores, pet dander, and other airborne particles which makes them excellent devices for ductwork cleaning.
HEPA filters should be used when discharging air in an indoor environment. This filter will help increase pressure and reduce transport velocity within the ductwork.
